This function also carries global oversight and key support to the internationally based CHRO and overseas Corporate Headquarters. Reporting directly to an overseas based CHRO, this role will provide strategic, operational, and tactical support to a North American population of approximately 2000 people. This individual will also be a ‘thought partner’ for the senior HR and business leadership team in the region. Supporting a high energy and results driven Commercial team, the individual will build credibility and establish an effective and trusted relationship with business leaders which will better enable success in the organisation’s commercial aims. As the team structure is relatively flat, this means a high degree of influencing without control. He or she will work closely with the CHRO to define and communicate the strategic direction for the HR function, but also be hands-on to deliver best practice around HR processes and systems, implementing global policy, and drive the talent agenda, utilising expertise from across the CoE construct where necessary.
We are looking or an individual who can demonstrate a broad set of tactical and strategic HR skills gained within a demanding Commercial organisation and should be proven in a fast-paced and challenging setting. While there is no prerequisite regarding industry experience, Technology and/or Healthcare would be of interest. As our client is an acquisitive organisation with aggressive growth plans, the right individual should also possess a degree of M&A experience, having performed due diligence and/or integration activities. He or she should also have experience driving cultural change and/or transformations. Previous experience working in a matrix environment will be an advantage as will experience reporting into an overseas Corporate Headquarters. Above all, the CHRO is seeking a pragmatic and practical HR leader who is hands-on, collaborative, relationship oriented and capable of influencing without ownership.
