Gary Talpas is based in Los Angeles and wears a dual hat at ChapmanCG. He has a global role as Brand Experience Manager, and in addition he is Executive Assistant within the Americas region. Gary brings a wide range of experience to these varied responsibilities, with the common thread of project management and process development.
Gary’s project management and art direction experience includes serving as the single point of contact for the Director of Store Planning for Tesco’s North American initiative (as Fresh and Easy) where he developed prototype fixture and environmental graphics solutions. Gary was a member of the Universal Studios Sentosa theme park design team in Singapore, working directly between intellectual property owners and local vendors. His time in Singapore enabled Gary to gain deep cultural insight, which serves him well given ChapmanCG’s headquarters and deep local community involvement in that city-state.
Some of Gary’s high-level administrative experience includes working as a Special Assistant to the CEO of the Cleveland Municipal School District, which was under Mayoral Governance during his time there. Gary primarily managed the CEO’s assignments to her 40-member Executive Cabinet, working with cabinet members to oversee timely and accurate completion of short-term and on-going projects. Gary also served as a special agent to the Chief of Staff for unique problem solving in general project administration.
ChapmanCG reunites Gary with Stefanie Cross-Wilson, who Gary worked with previously when Stefanie was President, Recruitment & Talent Management at Hudson North America (NASDAQ:HSON). As Stefanie’s Executive Assistant, Gary was the primary coordination point across four divisions: Retained Search, Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Contingent Recruitment, and Talent Management; and served as a member of that company’s North American Management Team.
