The HR Director for Jamaica reports in to the Head of HR for North America with a dotted line to the Country General Manager. The HR Director leads the national HR strategy with a strong aim of upskilling the organisation and steering the culture of the company through its continued growth. Key responsibilities will include driving the talent agenda and assisting in the execution of programs such as talent management, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, leadership development and employee engagement. The HR Director sits in a multicultural environment as it interfaces extensively with leadership in the US, Europe, and local expats. This individual will bring HR expertise and business understanding to his or her client and assists in influencing and coaching employees and managers throughout all business functions.
We are looking for an experienced HR leader with an in-depth understanding of the Jamaican market and experience working in multi-national corporations. Prior support of commercial business units or experience working with consumer goods companies is required. Experience in a multi-brand environment would be beneficial. This role would suit an individual who thrives on setting direction and driving change within an evolving HR structure. This individual must possess strong networking skills, a good executive presence and experience working cross-culturally. Eligibility to work in Jamaica is a prerequisite.
