Our client is a European headquartered consumer goods company with a house of globally recognized brands. It is a highly acquisitive company, always driving to increase its market share while staying true to its core culture and values. It is undergoing a positive change to its HR model to enable a more effective relationship with the business and in particular to set them up for continued growth in the US market. This role is based in New York.
This role reports to the Head of HR for North America and supports the US commercial business group. The US market is a key focus for the company and primary region of growth. Hence, the role will be highly visible to the global leadership team. The HR Director will work closely with and support business leaders across Sales & Marketing and will leverage subject matter expertise through a Centers of Excellence model. Key responsibilities will include driving the talent agenda and assisting in the execution of programs such as talent management, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, leadership development and employee engagement. As an integral part of the broader North America business, there will also be the opportunity to play key roles in global projects.
We are looking for a strategic individual for this position who understands and can deliver strategy for the Commercial operation of a consumer goods organization. Experience working within a house of brands is beneficial. This role would suit an individual who thrives in setting the direction and driving change to an evolving human resources organization. Knowledge and prior experience of working within a HR business partner model is essential. Prior experience managing through periods of significant change and ambiguity is highly desirable.
