We are working with a global industrial company that develops bespoke projects for its client base. The company has a presence in over 20 countries. As it continues to grow, the development strategy focuses on driving innovation through technological and geographic diversification. North America is a key strategic region for the organization to meet its growth targets.
Reporting to the Country Leader for North America, the Head of HR will be responsible for all people planning, organizational development and change management programs in this rapidly growing region for the company. The individual will contribute to the design and implementation of HR policies, processes, programs, and protocols for the region that align with the overarching global people strategy and meet the needs for the North American business. A core focus for this role will be HR Transformation and driving cultural integration following recent acquisitions. With an aggressive growth agenda cultural transformation will remain a key theme to enable the company to meet strategic objectives for the region. From a Talent Management perspective, the individual will be responsible for talent acquisition as well as ensuring that the organization has robust development programs to develop leaders of the future.
The successful applicant will demonstrate experience partnering with senior executives at a local level and across the broader global organization. The individual will have a high level of global understanding and cultural fluency, gained from either having lived and worked overseas or worked in a leadership role for a company with headquarters in Europe. With a strong EQ, s/he will be able to quickly understand the priorities for the business and be able to work collaboratively across all functions. The individual will have proven experience of managing turnarounds and cultural transformations, with a track record delivering complex implementation plans effectively and pragmatically. The individual will have M&A integration experience, leading the process at a regional level, for a global company. Prior expertise in Compensation & Benefits will be of particular interest. Finally, s/he will have strong business acumen, with a keen interest in understanding the external environment and broader market trends to ensure that the organization remains competitive and can attract top talent. European language skills would be of interest.
