Our client is one of the world’s most successful global pharmaceutical organizations with a growing business and portfolio. Due to expansion, we are looking for a Director, Global Talent Management for this public company. The role will be based in New Jersey.
The Director, Global Talent Management will be the number two person in Global Talent Management for a major business unit. The role will have a focus on Leadership Development; Organizational Development and Effectiveness; M&A integration; Succession Management; Performance Management; and Employee Engagement. This position will work with the global CoE and ensure that programs are implemented flawlessly within the business unit. In addition, this role also will support the company’s overall Leadership & Management Development programs; and broad based Employee and Professional Development programs. This is a highly strategic, sole contributor role and an entry point to an exceptional career path.
The person we are seeking should have deep and broad Talent Management expertise. He or she should be an exceptional strategic thinker with a robust theoretical foundation and an ability to effectively drive its pragmatic and practical application. In addition, we are looking for strong executive presence and an ability to effectively influence and persuade very senior business and HR stakeholders. A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience implementing and leading Talent Management and Organization Development processes and programs on a global level will be needed. Some Learning experience would be an asset, but not essential. We are also looking for expertise leading organization transformation from cultural and leadership aspect. Strong experience in need analysis methods, role analysis, and content analysis is necessary; as is solid exposure to Change Management and process improvement techniques. This person should be an adept facilitator and coach who drives performance improvement at an individual and team level. Pharmaceuticals, medical devices, packaged goods, or other manufacturing experience will be required. Also required is a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. A Doctoral degree in organizational behavior or psychology, industrial/organizational psychology or adult learning or a Master’s degree from a top school is highly preferred.
