The need has arisen for this market leading consumer goods organization to drive improvements around the capability, leadership, and structure of its HR function across North America and its relationship with its overseas Headquarters. Impressive developments in HR have already occurred over the last two years to bring this critical region in line with overall business strategy. The Americas region alone contributes in excess of $10B to the company’s bottom line and this in itself represents more than a third of global revenues. This organization has a history of being performance and results driven and achieves its goals through collaboration and a strong sense of business partnering. This position is based in New Jersey and has oversight for all business lines across US and Canada.
Reporting to an International Head of HR in Europe and supported by a team of thirty in the region, the regional HR head will lead HR Business Partners and collaborate with CoE teams to achieve both rigor around current processes and enable the business to achieve its growth targets. There will be a keen focus on talent management and development in addition to evaluating and bringing innovation to compensation and benefits structures, with executive compensation being an area in the spotlight. One of the fundamental challenges is balancing local and regional needs with demands from Headquarters. This individual will need to demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence, cultural awareness and manage and influence senior stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, the individual should possess experience in a highly complex and matrix reporting within a multi-billion-dollar multinational corporation. One which has the customers as its core focus. Experience reporting overseas to an international Headquarters being ideal. We need a strong HR Generalist who has driven change and transformation across talent management, development, and compensation and who has demonstrated an ability to pivot at short notice to new directives. This is a strategic HR lead role and as such a broader vision of how HR can be at its most effective is essential. A strong communicator, influencer, people manager and commercial mindedness are all prerequisites.
