We are thrilled to be working with a recognised global retail brand, in their search for an HR Director responsible for their Distribution Centre’s across Europe. This person will be based outside Antwerp in Belgium at our client’s state of the art sustainable and innovative facilities.
With responsibility for the population across 6 different distribution centre’s, the successful individual will drive the HR strategy with the help of a team of 3 HR Managers. As a part of the Distribution Management Team, this person will drive organizational effectiveness through talent, organisational capability and culture. With the nature of this 24/7 environment, a key part of this role is employee engagement and making sure the workforce has the right set up and capabilities to achieve business success.
We are looking for an individual with proven experience of 12-15 years covering the broad elements of the HR function. This includes organisational design and development; performance compensation management; employee relations; learning and development; succession planning and recruiting/selection; leadership and competency development; benefits; knowledge of relevant HR legislation of Belgium. You will need experience as a strategic business partner, as well as as a change agent. Experience in working with unions in a large organisation is critical.
