A major US retailer with global presence and a vast number of locations in Japan. There is a change management focus to shift to the global model which is considered to be successful in other locations. The brand is also highly regarded and recognised in Japan.
This role will mentor and manage a large group of HR professionals both in the Tokyo HQ as well as many remote locations. This person will be needed to drive consistent delivery of HR solutions and maintain the team development and hiring. Speed and clear HR systems that solve problems and prevent issues arising as the business changes will be a clear goal and how this person is measured. Partnering with many smart and talented business leaders making sure HR issues are understood.
A strong background in FMCG or Retail for a large company will be a huge plus, with the ability to work in a large and dynamic HR environment. Someone with a big picture, birds-eye-view is necessary for this position as they will be covering many moving parts of the business simultaneously.
