The Company

Our client is a small to mid-cap technology company developing software products and services to customers in more than 20 countries and growing. Because of significant increase in demand for one of its core product offerings, the CHRO has earmarked the need for a designated Global HR resource for this business line. This is a newly created role which will be based in the Seattle area and require extensive global travel up to 60%.

The Role

As the strategic HR Business Partner to the Global Head of Emerging Markets, he/she will work closely with regional and country business leaders and HR teams to improve the efficiency of HR platform and processes to support growing business demands. This role will require both a tactical and strategic approach to HR initiatives. Key responsibilities include supporting talent acquisition efforts, talent development, performance management and identifying competency gaps. Where gaps are identified, the individual will work with internal learning and development specialists to design and deliver customized training programs. Furthermore, he/she will support compensation and benefits planning at country level and lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement. This role is demanding and requires presence in markets across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.  

The Individual

The successful applicant will be an experienced HR Generalist who can demonstrate a blend of strategic and tactical business partnering experience gained within a global organization. There is a strong preference for this individual to have international experience in emerging markets including Latin America and Asia. Spanish and/or Chinese language skills are beneficial. A proven record of accomplishment of leading talent development programs, talent reviews, succession planning and employee engagement initiatives is essential. Excellent communication and presentation skills, cultural sensitivity and drive to succeed are all traits necessary to possess. Exposure to a rapidly growing and dynamic organization is preferred. Heavy and often prolonged travel is expected.
