This European multinational has over 10,000 employees worldwide and a heavy emerging markets orientation. It offers a highly personalized service to a wide range of customers through its geographically dispersed call center operations. Its clients include a large percentage of the Global Fortune 500 companies. We are looking for an accomplished American Vice President of Human Resources to support one of the company’s growing divisions. Focus will largely be across the Americas region, but for the right individual you could expect the opportunity to gain broader geographical responsibilities. This role will be based in the New Jersey/New York metro area.
Reporting to the General Manager, Americas and functionally to the CHRO, the individual will manage a geographically dispersed HR team to provide support and direct Human Resources activities and programs that will attract, develop, and retain the employees necessary to carry out the business objectives. He/she will work closely with regional Center of Excellence (CoE) leads and oversee all aspects of Talent Management, Acquisition, Rewards and Recognition, Performance Management and Learning & Development for a large call center population. The individual will enhance Compensation & Benefits (C&B) and wellness programs to ensure competitive outcomes for all staff to enable the organization to attract and retain highly qualified talent. Furthermore, He/she will ensure that a positive employee relations climate is maintained and counsel employees and members of management on employee relations issues. The business is in good growth mode and will require an individual who can manage successfully through this change and evolution.
The individual we are seeking is an experienced HR Generalist with a solid HR operations background, preferably with international or global exposure. Experience managing HR for call center operations is a prerequisite. Strong Talent Acquisition and Change Management credentials will be important. This role will have regular contact with a major client about staffing and any service issues the client is facing. A proven ability to manage through change and build key stakeholder relationships in a diverse matrix organization is essential as is experience as an operational, hands-on leader. A good sense of humor as well as attention to detail and strong organizational and relationship-building skills will be some of the key requirements for success. Work visa sponsorship is not an option due to the hiring timeline, so applicants must be legally able to work in the United States. As this role oversees Latin America operations, proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese would be an advantage.
