Our client is a leading player in the pharmaceutical sector, providing solutions to customers in over 70 countries and with revenues exceeding US$10bn. Having gone through significant global transformation, there exists the need to secure top talent for several key HR leadership roles. Because of our long-standing relationship with the organization, we have been asked to assist in the search for a highly commercial Compensation & Benefits professional to lead a global Center of Excellence. Supporting a global population more than 40,000 people, this role will be based in New Jersey, USA.
This role reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer and is a key figure in the HR Leadership Team. Leading a large global team and directing two highly experienced Compensation and Benefits leaders, the overriding objective of this role is to drive the Company’s global Rewards strategies in support of evolving business needs. He or she will work closely with the Board and Compensation Committee on Executive Compensation plans and develop broader policies around salary planning, performance analysis, health and wellness, and retirement programs. As a global leader, he or she will pay close attention to shifting market condition and how they affect the organization’s talent base in relation to existing plans and pivot effectively to attract new talent. Furthermore, he or she will also partner with Business Leaders and Mergers & Acquisitions colleagues to analyze and negotiate issues relating to the evaluation of potential acquisitions targets.
We are looking for a proven leader with executive presence and astute commercial mind and the ability to effectively partner with HR, Business Leaders and Vendors. We need to see strong technical knowledge of all aspects across the Compensation & Benefits spectrum. Previous Board exposure is essential as is having played a key role in Mergers & Acquisitions activities. Work experience in a large scale, highly matrixed international work environment is a must. He or she will possess extensive managerial experience and the ability to communicate complex principles effectively at all levels within the organization. Above all, he or she will demonstrate teamwork, respect, integrity, innovation and a customer focused approach. This role would suit an individual who thrives in a fast paced, results driven environment and who works well in time critical situations.
