The company is a mid-sized, international FMCG business with presence in Europe, US, LATAM and APAC. The business has approximately 500 staff in Japan.
Sitting as part of the broader APAC HR structure, the this role will have to be both strategically capable in engaging the business whilst effectively staying very hands-on with regards to the management of the operational HR team on the ground. Reporting into the Japan GM with a dotted line to the Head of HR APAC, this individual will be a key member of the regional HR leadership. You will be tasked with enhancing efficiencies across the business and leading a transformation agenda designed to optimise internal engagement and retention levels.
We are searching for a hands-on HR leader who has high-level, strategic business partnering capability. You will manage a small operational team and will be responsible for aligning the people agenda in Japan with the broader regional and global strategies. You must be commercially minded and have a pedigree within multinational environments. You must be able to engage and influence the business leadership in Japan on all people related issues. This individual needs to be a strong relationship builder and bring energy and drive to the business.
